I’ve been ordering from HBC Organics for a few years now and at first I loved everything I purchased from this company. But my all time favorite was the baby butters specifically the milk and honey. The baby butter smelled amazing and left my baby’s skin smooth and smelling great. Out of allthe baby butters, milk and honey had a thicker consistency than the rest. I started having issues when the baby butter started to vary in color, consistency and smell. It was not the end of the world but it’s upsetting when you trust a company to deliver what they promise and every order various. And you’d probably think if I had a problem why did I keep ordering if I was not happy with the baby butter? Well simply because it was not the end of the world and it still felt good on my son’s skin. That is until the purchase I had before this recent one was an utter disappointment when I ordered 3 milk and honey body butter and they all came grainy. I couldn’t put that on my son’s skin and I was so disappointed because 1 of those baby butters was supposed to be a gift. You’d think someone with years of experience making the same product by now so I don’t understand what went wrong. I did send an email to resolve the issue but instead of sending 3 replacements she sent 2 only. I have receipts. So I paid for 3 and only got a replacement for 2. And yes i threw away the messed up ones because they were extremely oily and had small grainy balls.And the only reason I ordered again was because those 2 replacements (should have been 3) that I received were actually good and perfect. I just recently ordered again and it’s actually the last time I order. I’m upset and sad because the baby butter does not even smell close to the replacement from my last order. It hardly has a scent. And I ordered a tallow balm and they did not have it and instead of refunding me she gave me credit. Which I don’t even want because shipping is expensive and I lost my trust with this company. I don’t understand why I can’t just receive a refund. You don’t have it refund. I used to hate that if she didn’t have a certain product she replace it with something else. It’s like no honey give me a refund. It’s not fair to the customer. Hopefully I can get my money back from these lotions because I don’t like them at all. So beware if you get a good batch and like it, the next one may not be the same and leave you disappointed.
I'm sorry to hear your dissatisfaction for our company and our company policies. Looking back through the emails, your body butter that didn't have the right consistency was replaced right away for you & we did not require you to send it back- as we have a guarentee with the body & baby butters for 6 months from purchase. As stated many times when explaining natural products that don't use fragrance oils or bleached ingredients, sometimes consistency will change & scent will as well. Sometimes there are issues with shipping such as temperature control-- which is why we have the guarentee. No we do not offer refunds and we stand by that policy. We offer shop credit and will replace body/baby butters when there is an issue. Our baby butter is extremely popular and we sell it quite frequently without issues with customers regarding it, outside of the one batch you referenced where there was an issue with the beeswax itself.
