Natural Solutions For The Modern World

I've been asked many times why the slogan I chose to go with is Natural Solutions For The Modern World. The answer is literally in the slogan.. I wanted to create products that were natural solutions for the world we live in today. 

In 2012, I was walking through a commercial department store and found myself astounded at that health and beauty aisle. So many items had simply, plain packaging with the claim of being natural... only to flip the package over and read all the ingredients that left me a bit surprised. I currently walk down the cleaning aisle and honestly can't tell what is safe for me to use for my family and what isnt... I mean ingredients aren't listed and if they are, I have no clue why those items are in the cleaning products.

 I really wanted to create a range of products for the modern family. I wanted people, no matter what their financial status was, to have access to truly natural products... so HBC Organics was born... and continues to be reborn with every stumbling block I see my customers have. What started with bar soap and body butter has expanded into laundry detergent, home cleaners, facial washes, shampoo, conditioner, makeup, candles, and more. I have it all-- and if I don't, I will soon enough! 

My community has watched my business grow over the years on instagram, Facebook, and eventually TikTok. The community has grown, the product line has grown, but one thing remains the same... I won't sell something I wouldn't happily use myself. I am a picky person. I know what I like & my body can be rather dramatic when it comes to introducing new things. I grew up having extremely sensitive skin, spent my early adolescence all the way through my mid twenties with acne, black heads, dry skin, cystic acne.. I mean Lord didn't give me a break with my face. Once I began using my own natural soap it all changed. 

Typical soap you find online and at department stores is actually classified as a detergent.. not a soap. I make soap the old fashioned way... with fat, lye, and water. I use a range of different fats from Olive Oil to Coconut Oil to Raspberry Oil to Grass Fed & Finished Tallow. My scents range from botanical extracts to essential oils to even certain ingredients in the soap that create a scent after saponification. I have a conviction to give you guys the best quality soap out there. 

I've found ways to blend botanicals and essential oils to compete with high end perfumes and even fragrances out there. Long gone are the days of smelling simply like tea tree or patchouli when you switch to natural skin care... you can smell amazing, feel amazing, and not disrupt your endocrine system.
